Main Responsibilities

For our activities in EUMETSAT, we are currently looking for a Ground Station Analyst.

The successful candidate will focus his/her activities on the following tasks:

  • Daily reporting and analysing of routine operations.
  • Updates GSCon Macros, Displays and limits.
  • Generate new domains for new antenna & Ground station configurations.
  • Support Antenna deployments and associated software releases.
  • System control procedure/documentation creation/maintenance.
  • Coordinating daily operational ground station activities.
  • Conduct first level investigations on ground station anomalies.
  • Compiling inputs for regular reports.
  • Provide Controller training.


The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will have a sound background in a scientific or technical discipline. He/she must be familiar with ground station facilities relating to spacecraft operations. Previous experience of ground station analysis or operations is an advantage.

Previous experience gained on the MSG programme would be advantageous.

Additionally, the key person should bring good PC skills, with a good knowledge of the following:

  • Word
  • Excel and Access.

Previous experience of ground station analysis or operations is an advantage.

Experience in software coding/ scripting e.g. C++ and Python for Report development will be considered an asset.

The key person must have good interpersonal skills.
