For one of our Customer, a European Institution we are looking for a Technology Expert with​ at least 9 years of relevant work experience. 

Main Responsibilities

Nature of tasks

• Provision of expert advice and assistance, technology watch, evaluation, architectural considerations, applicable standards, solution patterns and best practices in a specific area of ICT infrastructure technology ( e.g. Virtualisation of Servers infrastructure, Monitoring of Systems, Installation and Maintenance of Linux IT Infrastructure, Oracle Database management systems, Java Enterprise technology, … )
• Evaluation of quality plans, quality assessments, quality control tests, evaluations and service level agreements associated with information system infrastructure services or projects
• Assistance in the implementation of a software engineering methodology
• Provision of security studies, security assessments and other specific security matters related to ICT infrastructures
• Evaluation of vision documents focused upon infrastructure components
• Risk analysis
• Design or review of Information Systems Infrastructure Architectures
• Provision of technical evaluations and audit reports in relation with information systems infrastructure

Successful Candidate

Knowledge and skills

• Deep knowledge in domain of ICT Infrastructure Management
• Deep knowledge of Linux OS
• Deep scripting capabilities
• Knowledge in virtualization technologies
• Knowledge of DBMS
• Capability to write clear and structured technical documents.
• Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, good communication skills
• Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment

Education

Master’s level or 5 years of higher education or an equivalent number of years of IT professional experience

Experience

• Minimum 9 years of IT professional experience
• Minimum 9 years of experience in management of Linux Operating System
• Minimum 9 years of experience in management of IT Infrastructure
• Minimum 6 years of experience in management of DBMS

Additional requirements

Available within a three months' time frame.

• Ability to follow and interpret Internal procedures and standards
• Ability to work with imposed deadlines
• Ability to work independently on specific tasks while at the same time functioning as a member of a project team.
• Fluent in English and/or French
