Main Responsibilities

Job description/role

You manage and hold the final responsibility for various facility services, namely: catering, cleaning, hard services (technical Plants), landscaping. You have the final responsibility for a team of thirty people who provide all these services on a large Belgian Defense site.

You will have a management team at your disposition: a Chief Technical Engineer, an Accomodation manager and a project manager. The catering and cleaning is controlled by a team manager.

Your responsibilities:

  • you are responsible for the commercial relationships with the customer, the suppliers and subcontractors.
  • You manage the contracts entrusted to you and report on the follow-up of the agreed standards and appointments.
  • You ensure good internal and external communication both within the own department and with the internal customer, subcontractors and suppliers
  • You are responsible for the follow-up of all facility problems on the site
  • You propose action plans to achieve the qualitative, operational and financial expectations
  • You are responsible for motivating, coaching and guiding your employees and adjust them if necessary
  • You communicate in a fluent and comprehensible way with the employees;
  • You organize and structure the operation in such a way that it functions optimally
  • You report and monitor the daily management (drafting of invoices, accounting and key figures data, dashboards, follow-up of the commissions) and use therefore all available computer tools;

Successful Candidate

PROFILE

  • You have a master or bachelor degree and a technical basic knowledge is a plus
  • You have a decent experience within facility Management in a responsible and management position
  • You speak French
  • You have analytic compentencies, you have a good sense of organization and efficiency
  • You are result-oriented and you have the capacity to monitor and implement the application of the strategies and policies;
  • You are enterprising and you can work in an autonomous way;
  • You master easy MS Office;
  • Your stimulating attitude has a positive effect on the motivation of your employees;
  • Your commercial attitude and your way of communicating are part of your strong points;
  • You are a team player;
  • Given the specific environment, you have a great deal of attention for rules and safety, both in terms of site installations and the employees and customers involved.
