Serco Defence: Enhancing Military Training in Belgium
Serco Defence is expanding operations in Belgium, managing and maintaining key military training facilities in Leopoldsburg, Marche-En-Famenne, and Stockem.

This contract will improve operational readiness by delivering high-quality services across advanced training installations, including:
- Desktop Tactical Trainer
- AFAB Sim
- DF Sim
- CST
- Duel Sim
Expert Staffing Solutions
Serco will deploy professionals across multiple disciplines to ensure efficient operations:
- Management & Operations: Overseeing execution, compliance, and service quality.
- Technical & Engineering: Maintaining and optimizing training equipment.
- Simulation & Training: Supporting personnel in using advanced technologies.
- IT & Logistics: Managing infrastructure, cybersecurity, planning, and support.
Main Responsibilities
Support OKR Management: assist in defining, tracking, and updating objectives and key results; coordinate reviews and reporting cycles.
- Project coordination: work with experts to follow up on actions, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Stakeholder communication: support the creation of briefings, dashboards, and updates for stakeholders and boards (NDTECH, NDOP, JSCP, NM Board).
- DPMG/DSG meetings & event organisation: prepare agendas, manage logistics, take minutes, and track follow-up actions.
- Collaboration tools & documentation: manage SharePoint spaces, control document access, and maintain project archives.
- Internal reporting: assist in consolidating and producing reports, sometimes independently.
- Ad hoc support: provide support in using tools like SurveyMonkey, Doodle, Excel trackers, or infographics.
- • Actively contribute to improving programme operations by identifying and proposing enhancements to processes, procedures, tools, and workflows. The assistant is expected to help optimise recurring tasks, promote consistency, and support continuous improvement in the way the Datalink Programme operates.
Successful Candidate
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Mandatory:
- High school degrees or equivalent professional experience
Desirable:
- Degree in engineering, ICT, data science, or another technical/scientific field
Languages:
- Proficient English speaker, reader and writer. Knowledge of French would be desirable
TECHNICAL/PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION
Mandatory:
- Advanced Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with collaborative platforms (SharePoint, Teams)
- Familiarity with planning tools and reporting cycles (OKRs or KPIs)
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Exposure to institutional or multinational environments (e.g. Horizon Europe, ESA)
Desirable:
- Familiarity with Lean/Agile methodologies
EXPERIENCE/SKILLED REQUIRED
Mandatory:
- Experience in project support or coordination
- Good organisational skills and ability to work autonomously
- Proven ability to identify inefficiencies and propose improvements to working methods, collaboration tools, and reporting processes
Desirable:
- Experience in cross-functional project management and reporting to leadership boards
- Proficiency in stakeholder communication and meeting/event planning
- Ability to synthesize technical and strategic inputs
