Job Introduction

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic KAFKA Software Engineer to join our team in Maastricht Office. 

Main Responsibilities

Mandatory: 
  • Certification on Kafka like CCDAK (Confluent) or EX482 (Red Hat)
  • Minimum 5 years of recent professional experience as Java software developer
  • Minimum 3 years of recent professional experience with Spring Boot
  • Minimum3 years of recent professional experience with Kafka
  • Minimum2 years of recent professional experience with multi-tenancy management of Kafka
  • Minimum1 year of recent professional experience with Docker and Kubernetes
  • Minimum3 years of recent professional experience with Linux for software development
Desirable:
  • 1 year Professional experience with Scrum methodology and tools like Jira and BitBucket
  • 1 Year Professional experience with message brokers (e.g. Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • 1 year Professional experience with GitOps way of working
  • 1 year Professional experience with Apache Camel
  • 1 year Professional experience with writing software documentation

Successful Candidate

Background

SCB (Streaming Communication Bus) is being developed in the ‘Kafka in ACM’ project context, where the CPS (Common Platform Services) team is assigned to provide 

manpower to support the development and integration activities. As the CPS team is lacking manpower to provide sufficient support to the project, CPS seeks to hire the services of a Java software engineer with detailed knowledge of and experience with Kafka, who will setup, configure, code, and document the SCB product (which mainly contains Kafka) in conjunction with other members of the CPS team. The assignment will also require collaboration with other involved technical teams.


Educational requirements
Mandatory:
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology, with a focus on Software Engineering

Language Requirements:
Mandatory
  • The Tenderer shall confirm that the proposed candidate has an excellent command of the English language (Listening/Writing/Understanding) level - C1/B2/B2
