Main Responsibilities

Duties:

Customer Communications and Information Agency (NCI Agency) located in The Hague, The Netherlands, is currently providing methodological, analytical and technical support to the French MOD for Information Management applications deployed in its Intranet. NCI Agency has received a tasking to develop and maintain a suite of systems named DBM. It consists in three systems: DBM-Web for Capability management, DBM-GenForces for Force generation and DBM-CUER for Personnel management in theatre. These systems are widely used within the French Ministry Of Defence (roughly thousand users) for real operations.

This statement of work is for an individual to work in its own premises under the supervision of the NCI Agency for the maintenance of DBM-CUER.
The work will consist mainly in maintaining modules of DBM-CUER such as Privilege management and data validation process, “SPA” view, “Cinematique” View.
 

Successful Candidate

Requirements:

Developments must be completed with the current DBM framework. This framework is using PrototypeJS and Javascript on the client and PHP on the server. The configuration control used for the project is Subversion but is planned to be moved under GIT.

The candidate must have the following Skills/knowledge/experience:
- JavaScript developer with 10+ years of experience and a practical experience using modern JavaScript (ECMAScript)
- Expert level knowledge of latest ECMAScript (JavaScript) standards (ES2015- ES2018, also called 6th edition through 9th)
- Good experience in training (must be able to train the rest of the team on the latest evolution of ECMAScript)
- An expertise in responsive GUI design and implementation
- A deep knowledge and experience with Prototype.js, jQuery, jQueryUI, and Lineage frameworks
- Good knowledge of relational databases
- Good knowledge of Linux, MySQL, and Apache (must be able to assist and advise the sponsor's technical team for deployment)
- Some knowledge of PHP
- Experience using SVN and GIT versioning systems
